Cat and Emily traveled to Las Vegas, NV to conduct measurements for Operation Desert Heat at the Device Assembly Facility.  This follow-on measurement campaign expanded on the measurements from 2023 and utilized two additional scintillation detectors capable of gamma/neutron discrimination.  The results of this campaign will be prepared for future publication and incorporated into Cat’s PhD Dissertation.  

Upon completing measurements, Emily and Cat enjoyed a few of the beautiful sights in the region: the humbling Sedan Crater, the marvels of the engineering of the Hoover Dam, and the awe-inspiring beauty of Red Rock National Conservation Site.
